Champion, who has been at ESPN since 2012, announced in late June that she was leaving the network's debate show for "The Big Show."

“I grew up watching ‘SportsCenter’ — it is the flagship show so I am living the dream,” Champion told TheWrap. “When I first started working here, I would casually petition for it — but there’s always a long line.”

Champion is expected to work on SportsCenter morning segments and interactions between the sports and entertainment industry.
