On Friday afternoon, the Northern Trust at Liberty National in Jersey City, New Jersey rolled on with its second round.
Some of the best golfers in the world, including tournament leader Dustin Johnson, were in action on Friday.
One notable name was missing, however. Tiger Woods withdrew from the tournament after carding a four-over, 75 in the first round. According to a statement from Tiger, he suffered an oblique strain and decided to take the weekend off.
Despite Woods not being on the course, there was plenty of excitement for fans in the stands and those watching at home.
Perhaps the best moment of the tournament came when Emiliano Grillo missed a birdie putt. He reacted in a way that everyone who has stepped on a golf course has: he gave the hole the bird.

We’ve all been there.
However, we haven’t been in a situation where this putt means we would have made the cut at a significant tournament.
After missing this 13-foot birdie putt, Grillo missed the cut at the Northern Trust by one stroke – just heartbreaking.
He finished the day with a two-under 69, but it wasn’t enough after his two-over, 73 in the first round.
The tournament continues on Saturday morning.
