The second round of the PGA Championship is officially upon us. Brooks Koepka stole the show on Thursday, but we’ll see if Tigers Woods and the field can bounce back this afternoon.
Obviously all the focus this week will surround Woods, who won the Masters back in April. Unfortunately, he didn’t come out of the gates playing his best golf yesterday.
Woods fell victim to a double bogey on his first hole of day. He started with the back nine, which forced him to really improve his efforts on his last nine holes.
Fortunately for Woods, his opening-round score of two shots over par shouldn’t put him in jeopardy of missing the cut. However, he’ll need to have a much better performance today.
Woods will tee off at 1:49 p.m. ET from Bethpage Black Course.
The group of Woods, Koepka and Francesco Molinari should draw huge crowds once again.

The early session of the second round hasn’t been too kind for those on the course.
While multiple golfers are struggling right now, Dustin Johnson is quietly cutting down Koepka’s lead. He’s shooting four under par through eight holes.
If Woods wants any chance of winning back-to-back majors, he might have to string a few consecutive birdies this afternoon.
