Brooks Koepka has been the dominant figure in golf over the past two years.

Koepka set multiple records, including the 36-hole record set by Nick Faldo, in the PGA Championship at Bethpage Black last month en route to his second straight PGA title.

The two-time defending U.S. Open champion took the course at Pebble Beach this afternoon to go for back-to-back major titles.

As he took to the tee box, his hat caught the attention of fans everywhere.

Koepka is repped by Nike, and a few of the company's items have been drawing the ire of fans watching from home.

Here's a look at the hat Nike provided for Koepka this weekend.

Fans aren't happy with the choice.

Despite the criticism of his outfits, there won't be anyone criticizing his game this weekend.

He started off his first round with a birdie and looks locked in to start the tournament. Pebble Beach has already shown it's beatable, as three players have carded five-under 66's on the day.

Rickie Fowler, Louis Oosthuizen and Xander Schauffele are the current leaders.

Other notable players on the course are Tiger Woods, who just teed off a few minutes ago, along with Jordan Spieth.

Stay tuned for the latest.
