Last Night's Ohio vs. Buffalo Game Featured Easily The Worst Call Of The 2013 College Football Season

This is just baffling.

There are bad calls by officials, and then there are bad calls by officials. What happened in the third quarter of last night's Buffalo vs. Ohio game is one of the most ridiculous decisions ever made by a referee. In the clip below, Ohio quarterback Tyler Tettleton clearly throws the ball away well before he reaches his own goal line. But for some reason, the refs didn't see it that way and called him for intentional grounding in his own end zone - aka, a safety. Check it out:

Tettleton is clearly around the 4-yard-line when he releases the ball - it's not even close. Even worse - the play wasn't reviewable, so the decision was final. It looks like we need another rule change, college football.
