There was a bench-clearing brawl this Wednesday afternoon between the New York Mets and St. Louis Cardinals.
On Tuesday, three Mets batters were hit by pitches. Less than 24 hours later, J.D. Davis was plunked in the top of the eighth inning.
The Mets retaliated in the bottom of the eighth inning, as Yoan López threw up and in at Cardinals star Nolan Arenado.
Arenado didn't appreciate that pitch from López. He was so frustrated that he pretty much told López to come get him.
Just a few moments later, both benches cleared. It was a wild scene at Busch Stadium.

It's hard to blame the Mets for being frustrated with the way this series has unfolded. A total of 19 batters have been hit this season for the Mets, and they're not even through April yet.
The Mets will try to get back on the track this Friday when they host the Phillies.
