Earlier: Bryce Harper has finally found a home. According to MLB Network's Jon Heyman, Harper is signing with the Philadelphia Phillies.

The Phillies pursued Harper heavily, and looked like the favorites to land him for a while. However, the Los Angeles Dodgers and San Francisco Giants became more involved over the last few days.

At the end of the day, Harper will stay in the NL East. He's played the first seven seasons of his career with the Washington Nationals.

Now, we wait to see if his contract outdid the 10-year, $300 million deal signed by Manny Machado with the San Diego Padres.

The 26-year-old Harper could make the Phillies the favorites in the NL East. They already added catcher J.T. Realmuto and were one of the more improved teams in baseball last season before a late season collapse. Stay tuned for more details on Harper's contract. Update: Harper is reportedly getting $330 million.

That passes Giancarlo Stanton's $325 million contract for the largest total in baseball.
