Cubs World Series Champions Gear Is Already Available

The Cubs have won the 2016 MLB World Series.

The Chicago Cubs defeated the Cleveland Indians in Game 7 of the World Series at Progressive Field tonight. The Cubs rallied from a 3-1 series deficit to win the series in seven games. Chicago gave up a 6-3 lead in Game 7, but won the game in extra innings. They took Game 7, 8-7, and the series.

Of course, Cubs World Series champions gear has it stores and retailers across the Internet and the country.

Barstool Sports had t-shirts available before the game even ended.

Retailers in Chicago were prepared to have their gear ready to go the moment the Cubs won it all.

Dick's Sporting Goods will immediately reopen 19 locations in the six-county metro area if the Cubs win their first title in 108 years. Those stores will be stocked with official locker room T-shirts and hats that could sell out in a couple of hours, if the rush for Hawks championship gear in recent years is any indication.

Closer to Wrigley Field, merchandise seller Sports World at Addison and Clark streets is anticipating it will remain open as late as 4 a.m. fielding business from the crowds that will swarm the intersection in front of the stadium.

Owner Brad Rosen said he'll have 1,200 official locker room hats and 1,000 championship T-shirts to sell until a new shipment arrives for the morning.

Retailer Clark Street Sports will keep its locations across from Wrigley Field and in the North Mayfair neighborhood open during the game and will stay open until there are no more customers, said co-owner Jason Caref.
