ESPN has added a major insider to its talent roster.
The Worldwide Leader announced this morning the hiring of one of the top baseball writers in the country.
Yahoo! Sports' MLB insider Jeff Passan announced today that he's leaving for a position with ESPN.
"Some personal news: After 13 amazing years at Yahoo Sports, I'm joining ESPN starting New Year's Day," he announced.
Passan will be working as an MLB insider for ESPN, doing stuff for ESPN.com and ESPN The Magazine.
He'll also be making regular TV appearances.
"I’m beyond excited. In addition to writing for ESPN.com and ESPN the Magazine, I’ll be on TV plenty, where I anticipate you’ll roast me regularly for my skinny ties, profligate use of polysyllabic words and unabashed Mike Trout stanning. I expect no less, Twitter," he announced.
