The Manny Machado trade sweepstakes appear to be heating up. The market for the Baltimore star is taking shape.

Machado is the top player on the market at this year's trade deadline, which is July 31. He's a free agent at the end of the season, so he'll likely be a rental for the team that acquires him now.

Even with that being the case, Machado has drawn plenty of suitors. According to ESPN's Buster Olney, two NL teams are firmly in the mix.

Olney tweeted Saturday evening that the Phillies and Brewers are "among the finalists" for Machado.

The Phillies have been a surprise this season, leading the NL East after several losing campaigns. The Brewers, meanwhile, are only 0.5 games out of first in the NL Central and could be inclined to "go for it" this season.

The Yankees and Dodgers might also be in the running for Machado, based off previous reports.
