Congratulations are in order for FOX Nation reporter Kacie McDonnell and her new fiancé, San Diego Padres first baseman Eric Hosmer.
On Tuesday night, McDonnell and Hosmer announced their engagement on Instagram. Judging by their social media posts, it looks like the happy couple got engaged after a romantic dinner.
The ring is pretty damn stunning too.
McDonnell and Hosmer have been together for some time, dating back to the slugger's days with the Kansas City Royals. McDonnell was working in television in Kansas City at the time.
Their relationship has stayed strong after Hosmer signed with the Padres in free agency in 2018.
"We work so incredibly well together. It also helps that we’re dating when we are," McDonnell told The Spun last year about the challenges of long-distance dating. "Technology bridges the gap and allows us to talk and “see” each other every day. I think the foundation of our relationship is built upon our unwavering support of the other following their dreams. Eric has been one of my biggest cheerleaders for almost four years now and vice versa! We find happiness in each other as well as each other’s success."
During the recent MLB playoffs, McDonnell could be seen cheering on her husband and his teammates along with the rest of the San Diego "Madres" crew. Now, she and Eric get to enjoy the offseason together as the future Mr. and Mrs. Hosmer.
