The 2018 All-Star Game is currently taking place from the nation's capitol. An overwhelming story line during the game revolves around Baltimore Orioles shortstop/third baseman Manny Machado.
Trade speculation has followed Machado throughout much of the 2018 season. The last-place Orioles are reportedly shipping the four-time All-Star to the Los Angeles Dodgers.
That news went from rumor to fact during the first few innings of the All-Star game.
According to Ken Rosenthal of the Athletic, Machado will wear a new uniform by week's end. He'll leave Baltimore for Los Angeles.
The 26-year-old Machado is slashing .315/.387/.575 this season with 24 home runs and 65 RBI in 96 games. Tonight, he will play in his fourth All-Star game in six-plus seasons with the Orioles.
The Dodgers will likely slot Machado into the shortstop position vacated by Corey Seager, who has been out since April with Tommy John surgery.
