Here’s what Twitter had to say regarding today’s big MLB news.
The Los Angeles Dodgers and the Atlanta Braves were involved in an absolute mega-trade today.
Left fielder Matt Kemp will be returning to Los Angeles in exchange for first baseman Adrian Gonzalez, infielder Charlie Culberson and pitchers Brandon McCarthy and Scott Kazmir, who will all head to Atlanta along with cash considerations.

It was a stunner of a deal, and Twitter naturally went ballistic. Some were ecstatic that Kemp would be returning to his former team, and others were impressed with how the Dodgers managed to shed a ton of money and at the same time gain a fine player.

This is the salary dumpest of trades ever. Matt Kemp is back with the Dodgers, in exchange for all the contracts — Adrian Gonzalez, Scott Kazmir, Brandon McCarthy — and Charlie Culberson. And cash considerations of course

Oh my god Andrew Friedman just unloaded so much freaking payroll and brought Matt Kemp back to Los Angeles. He's the greatest to ever do it.

For weeks the Dodgers have been trying to shed the salaries of Adrian Gonzalez, Scott Kazmir and Brandon McCarthy — and with the trade for Matt Kemp, they managed to do it in one fell swoop and position themselves to get under luxury tax. A potential game changer for them.

You know when your ex tries to come back in your life when you’re doing 10x better? That’s how I feel about Matt Kemp coming back. @Dodgers
