Gerrit Cole was back to his usual self for the New York Yankees on Sunday.

Cole has struggled this season as the Yankees ace, but he delivered six strong innings while not allowing any runs.

He pitched 6.2 innings against the Cleveland Guardians and finished with nine strikeouts, while only allowing one walk and four hits.

The MLB world is singing a different tune as Yankees fans gave him a standing ovation after he came off the mound for the final time.

The Yankees are set to get Cole the win as they're up 8-0 with just one inning left to play.

DJ LeMahieu currently has three hits and has driven in three runs, while Anthony Rizzo has two hits and has driven in two runs.

New York would get to 10-6 with this win as it starts a series against Baltimore starting on Tuesday.

Getting Cole to continually pitch like this will do wonders for the Yankees as they have World Series aspirations for this season.
