Well, here’s the worst sports story you’ll see all day. A number of parents at a youth baseball game for seven-year-old kids in Lakewood, Colorado got into an all-out brawl this past weekend.
Why? According to ABC, one parent didn’t like the calls being made by the 13-year-old umpire for the game. Eventually, “15 to 20” parents wound up on the field, punching each other as hard as they could.
Lakewood Police posted a video of the melee, which features both men and women swinging at each other. They claim that there were a number of injuries reported.
Police have cited a few of the offenders – and are currently looking for others. Here’s the video:
These adults took over the field and began assaulting each other on 6/15 during a youth baseball game. We're looking for any info, in particular to ID the man in the white shirt/teal shorts. Several people have already been cited in this fight and injuries were reported. pic.twitter.com/ieenhwCrbU

The fight was reportedly still going on when police arrived.
Hopefully, everyone winds up being okay in the aftermath. That said, this is about as embarrassing as it gets.
It’s inappropriate for parents at any level to come onto the field and get physical with each other. But when you’re talking about a game for seven-year-olds with a 13-year-old umpire, you’re in a different category. Hopefully there is some stern punishment here.
