Pedro Florimon suffered what looked to be a serious ankle injury tonight versus the Marlins.
Phillies center fielder Pedro Florimon had to be carted off the field after suffering an alarming lower leg injury in Saturday night’s game versus the Florida Marlins.
While trying to beat the throw from the shortstop, Florimon lunged toward the bag and his right ankle bent awkwardly.
You can watch the video below, but it’s not for the faint-hearted.

The Phillies have yet to give an update on the injury, but judging from the video, it looked serious.
Florimon had performed well for the Phillies up until this point, hitting .348 with an .866 OPS in 15 games after being called up from the minor leagues in mid-August.
