Earlier today, MLB announced that the Chicago White Sox and New York Yankees will play a game at the “Field of Dreams” in Iowa next summer. Now, we have a glimpse of what the field will look like.
For those wondering, it won’t be played at the actual movie site. You won’t be seeing Aaron Judge and Tim Anderson taking their cuts where Shoeless Joe Jackson appeared in front of Kevin Costner.
A field is being built in the cornfield, with a capacity of 8,000 fans. MLB said construction will begin next month.
Fans will be able to walk from the new field to the “Field of Dreams” movie site. You can see how in the 3D-rendering below.

In recent years, MLB has done a good job at creating these kind of showcase games, whether it is at the Little League World Series in Williamsport or over in London.
This “Field of Dreams” setting should be pretty awesome. It would have been even cooler if they could have played on the movie field, but the atmosphere should still be tremendous.
Also, if you want one of the 8,000 tickets, better be prepared to pay up. They’ll likely be expensive.
