Vlad Guerrero Jr. set an all-time record in the first round of tonight’s Home Run Derby, but Ronald Acuna Jr. wasn’t too shabby in his own right.
While Guerrero hit 29 home runs, the most ever in one round, Acuna hit 25 dingers, good for third-best all-time. He easily bested Josh Bell of the Pittsburgh Pirates, who many regarded as the favorite in the event.
Acuna made it look easy as he slammed homers all over Progressive Field in Cleveland. In fact, he was so unfazed he managed to work on his bubble blowing during his turn at the plate.
A photo of Acuna blowing a bubble mid-home run swing is going viral, and it’s absurdly impressive.

Talk about making it look easy.
Now that he’s advanced to the semifinals, Acuna will take on Pete Alonso of the New York Mets for the right to reach the finals.
If he makes it to the championship, he could face Guerrero Jr. Buckle up if that happens.
