This isn’t ideal.
The Houston Astros won a wild Game 2 last night to even the 2017 World Series at 1-1.
However, the most newsworthy action involving the Astros the last few days may have taken place off the field.
Houston manager A.J. Hinch was reportedly involved in an altercation at the team’s hotel bar following a loss in Game 1 on Tuesday, according to TMZ. When two patrons came in and began talking smack about the Astros, Hinch allegedly took action.
Sources say Hinch “snapped” and unleashed on the other patrons — cursing and yelling in the middle of the bar. One witness tells us the incident turned physical and cops were called to separate the two parties.
We spoke with Pasadena PD and we were told they responded to the hotel at 10:30 PM to help security “keep the peace” during an incident involving Houston Astros “team management.”
No arrests were made and the Astros did not comment on the matter.
Hinch is supposed to speak with reporters later today, so it will be interesting to see if this is brought up.
