It finally happened.
The Toronto Blue Jays have finally called up Vladimir Guerrero Jr. to the big leagues where he’ll make his debut for the Blue Jays on Friday night.
Guerrero has been one of the most-dominant hitters in minor league ball over the past few years, and fans have been clamoring for Toronto to bring the son of former MLB star Vladimir Guerrero up to the big leagues.
Toronto Blue Jays manager Charlie Montoyo announced the news to reporter’s following the team’s loss to the San Francisco Giants on Wednesday afternoon.
Here’s the news from Buffalo Bison insider Mike Harrington.

Guerrero Jr., the son of a 9-time All-Star, has lived up to the hype in the minor leagues.
He’s viewed as the best prospect in all of baseball, and he’ll finally get the chance to prove he belongs at the big league level.
In eight games with the Buffalo Bison this season, Guerrero Jr. racked up three home runs and eight RBIs while slashing .367 from the plate.
If he’s anything like his father – which he looks to be – Vlad Jr. will have a very long and successful career at the major league level.
Toronto takes on the Oakland Athletics on Friday night at 7:07 p.m. ET.
