We have a new contender for the worst first pitch in the history of Major League Baseball and, boy, it’s a strong one.
There are several notable picks for this trophy, from 50 Cent’s disastrous one at a Mets game to the then-Cincinnati mayor’s one at Reds game to this horrible one by Carly Rae Jepsen in Tampa Bay.
Are any of those as bad as the one we’re about to show you, though?
Well, we’ll let you be the judge.
Check out this ceremonial first pitch at tonight’s White Sox game:
A photographer almost got taken out by this first pitch at the Royals-White Sox game 😳

The photographer was standing in a somewhat awkward spot there, but he wasn’t anywhere close to where you’d think you would have to be to get hit.
Thankfully, he didn’t appear to get injured.
Maybe wear a helmet next time, though.
