This was a bad look.
Houston Astros first baseman Yuli Gurriel homered off Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Yu Darvish to put his team ahead 1-0 in the bottom of the second inning of tonight’s World Series Game 3.
But it’s what Gurriel did after the blast that has people talking, and not in a good way.
After Gurriel retreated to the dugout, FOX cameras panned to him and appeared to catch the Cuban slugger mocking Darvish’s Asian heritage with a slanted eyes gesture.
Here’s the video:

According to some on Twitter, Gurriel might have said “chinito” while he was making the gesture, which means “little Chinese boy.”
As a word of caution, this is all coming from lip-reading. You can be the judge yourself.

Interestingly, Darvish is Japanese and Gurriel played in Japan in 2014.
The Astros are currently leading this game 5-3, but no matter the outcome, expect Gurriel to be the major story post-game.
