Just a few months ago, the Seattle Mariners drafted a 17-year-old player with plenty of upside.
Well, fans were treated to that upside earlier this week. The Mariners drafted Edwin Arroyo out of Central Pointe Christian Academy in Kissimmee, Florida in the second round of the 2021 MLB Draft.
He’s already delivering highlights. The switch-hitter might be known more for his defensive prowess than his power at the plate.
However, he delivered a towering shot this week that had everyone talking. Actually, it was his impressive bat flip that stole the headlines.
Check it out.

The bat may have traveled even further than the ball.
It’s an impressive move from the 18-year-old who deserves to celebrate after launching that moonshot earlier this week.
Perhaps he’ll be doing that at the big league level in the next few years.
