It's very evident that Conor McGregor isn't one to back down from a challenge, so it shouldn't surprise anyone that he has just responded to his latest fight offer. On Thursday morning, the UFC star replied to Anderson Silva's request.

Silva shared his desires to fight McGregor at 176-pounds catchweight, which is actually a weight limit that does not follow the traditional limits for weight classes. He first spoke about this potential bout on social media.

"I have immense admiration for the great athlete that Conor is and I believe that a super fight would go down in the history of the sport,” Silva wrote on Instagram. “Neither of us need to prove anything to anyone; I believe that fans of the UFC and of this sport would like to watch this great martial arts spectacle, it would be fantastic to test my martial arts skills against him!!”

Fast forward a few hours later from when Silva originally posted this on Instagram, and we already have a response from McGregor. All he needed to say were two words: "I accept."

McGregor and Silva in the octagon would most likely draw millions of viewers to the sport.

Whether you love him or hate him, McGregor is so polarizing that people will tune in. It also helps that Silva is a well-respected figure in the UFC world.
