It’s safe to say that Paige Spiranac isn’t very excited for the 2021 fight between Floyd Mayweather and Logan Paul.
Last week, the legendary boxer and the YouTube star announced that they will be fighting in an exhibition match in 2021.
Mayweather announced the fight news on his Instagram page. The fight is scheduled to take place on Feb. 20.
Spiranac, 27, had a brutally honest reaction to the fight news. She thinks it’s crazy that people want to see this happen.
“It’s insane that people actually want to see this happening. It’s insane to see someone with a YouTube following or social following can make this happen. It just shows how powerful that young demographic that everyone is reaching out to get now and the fact that people are talking about this is mind-blowing to me,” she said on her podcast.
Spiranac certainly isn’t alone in feeling that way.
There’s serious interest in the fight, though, like it or not. ESPN.com had some details on the match:
According to the event’s webpage, the bout will be streamed as a pay-per-view. The first 1 million buys will cost $24.99, with the price increasing after that threshold is surpassed or the date gets closer. The price jumps to $69.99 starting Feb. 11, which is roughly $5 cheaper than the price for Saturday’s bout between unified welterweight champion Errol Spence Jr. and Danny Garcia.
