Lindsey Vonn Responds To Criticism After Bad Race

Lindsey Vonn entered the Women's Super-G as a medal favorite, but left the event without a gold medal around her neck. Not only that, but Vonn's last-minute mistake cost her a chance at standing on the podium as she slipped to sixth place.

Following her failed attempt at a medal, Vonn received hatemail from people back home in the United States. President Trump supporters blasted Vonn after the race, calling her failed attempt at a medal "karma" for what she said about the president and the White House months earlier.

In December, Vonn caused quite a stir this fall when she when she said she would not accept an invitation to the White House. “Absolutely not. Nope. I have to win to be invited so – no, actually I think every US team member is invited. So, no, I won’t go.”

Shortly after receiving heavy criticism, she responded on Twitter. Here's what she had to say to the Twitter trolls out there.

Vonn’s Winter Olympics are not over. She’s set to compete in two more events.

The skier is set to go in downhill event on Tuesday. She’ll run in the combined event on Thursday.
