The 2018 Winter Olympics kicked off this morning from PyeongChang, South Korea. This weekend the medal rounds with a few skiing and skating competitions.
One of the star U.S. athletes competing in the Olympics this year comes from California. She got her start in the sport at just 12-years-old.
Meet ice dancer Madison Chock. She'll be competing in the pairs event alongside partner Evan Bates.
The 25-year-old is competing in her second Winter Olympics. She's no rookie.
Chock has also competed around the world including at the World Championships in Shanghai and Boston, where she is a two-time medalist. She's placed third or high in the U.S. Figure Skating Championships six years straight.
She currently lives in Michigan where she trains.
