The Olympic Village In Rio Is Reportedly 'Uninhabitable'

Roughly two weeks away from the start of the Summer Olympics in Rio, Brazil, the housing for the Olympic athletes is reportedly "uninhabitable."

Australian Olympic Committee reportedly paid a visit to inspect the Olympic Village over the weekend and, according to them, it's not currently close to being ready to house the athletes.

From the Sidney Morning Herald:

"Problems include blocked toilets, leaking pipes, exposed wiring, darkened stairwells where no lighting has been installed and dirty floors in need of a massive clean.

"In operations areas water has come through the ceiling resulting in large puddles on the floor around cabling and wiring."

There is still some time for the housing situation to progress before the start of the Olympic games, but this is just another bullet point on a long list of complains against Rio as the host.
