Skip Bayless is one of the most controversial people in sports media, and he's about to be one of the highest paid as well. After news broke that he was leaving ESPN, most assumed that Fox Sports 1, which is helmed by First Take creator Jamie Horowitz, would be the destination. Sports Illustrated's Richard Deitsch originally reported that Bayless would be receiving around $5 million per year, a pretty crazy figure for a sports pundit. That just scratches the surface. Deitsch now reports that the figure is $5.5 million, and he's also receiving a $4 million signing bonus.

Most of the professional athletes that Bayless will spend his time trolling over at Fox won't make as much as he does. He can't possibly be worth this to Fox, can he?
