The USWNT resume their pursuit of a fourth FIFA Women's World Cup today as they take on Spain. Ahead of the game, Alex Morgan had a message for her teammates and fans.

Taking to Twitter on Monday morning, Morgan posted a picture of her teammates celebrating along, with the tagline, "Our journey continues…LFG."

Morgan is tied with Australia's Sam Kerr in the World Cup Golden Boot race with five goals - all of which she scored in USA's epic 13-0 win over Thailand.

Though Morgan dominated in the Thailand game, she was left out of the second group stage game against Chile and played only the first half against Sweden before sustaining a minor injury.

USWNT head coach Jill Ellis said over the weekend that Morgan would be good to go on Monday.

Standing in the USWNT's way is Spain, who are ranked No. 12 in the world. But La Roja have been having a difficult tournament so far.

Spain needed a second-half comeback just to beat No. 48 South Africa, and were held scoreless in their next two games against Germany and China PR.

The last meeting between the two sides took place in Spain earlier this year, with the USWNT emerging victorious in a 1-0 road win.
