United States women’s national team star Alex Morgan was an honored guest at the Teen Choice Awards on Sunday evening.
Morgan, a month removed from leading Team USA to a Women’s World Cup win, introduced Taylor Swift at the awards show.
“Okay we have a lot to talk about but first I want to talk about Alex Morgan, the fact that she’s here presenting this to me is such an honor. Not only winning the World Cup with her amazing teammates, they were also taking a stance with gender pay gap,” Swift said after getting introduced by the USWNT star.
Morgan and Swift teamed up for a photo following the awards show.
“Re-living our teens for a day while at #teenchoiceawards,” she wrote.
Morgan, who was among the top goal scorers at the 2019 Women’s World Cup, will be back in 2023, she announced.
“For me, I want another World Cup,” Morgan said earlier this month. “[Life after soccer is] not super soon. Four more years!”
