The Orlando Pride and Racing Louisville FC will play an historic NSWL match at Daytona International Speedway as part of the first-ever Daytona Soccer Fest.

Originally scheduled for July 2, the game will now take place on July 3 at 8 p.m. ET and will air on CBS Sports Network.

According to an official statement, the event will also include a performance from three-time Grammy winner Chance the Rapper and post-game fireworks.

“We’re excited to bring this incredible match experience to both our players and our fans. The NWSL and women’s soccer continue to grow each day, and we’re happy to be part of this historic opportunity to showcase our Club, our players and our league at one of the most iconic venues in American sports,” Orlando Pride Chairman Mark Wilf said. “It’s an honor for our Club and league to continue to lead the charge for women’s professional soccer and to elevate our players with this marquee matchup at Daytona Soccer Fest.”

Fans are pumped about the unexpected partnership between NASCAR and the NWSL.

For better worse, some fans feel adding a concert and fireworks to a soccer match held on a racetrack represents the most Americanized version of a soccer match imaginable.

The Daytona Soccer Fest may seem over the top, but it's an interesting opportunity to introduce the NSWL to a new demographic.
