The European transfer deadline is mere days away but the situation between Cristiano Ronaldo and his soccer club Juventus still hasn’t been resolved. However, a new report has the soccer world buzzing this morning.
Earlier today, a report from Portuguese journalist Goncalo Lopes asserted that Premier League powerhouse Manchester City has reached an agreement with Juventus to bring Ronaldo into the fold. The report is being heavily disputed by other soccer journalists, and no announcement has been made yet.
Ronaldo was on the bench for Juventus’ Serie A season opener against Udinese. At the time, it was believed that the decision to not start in the game was Ronaldo’s, rather than the coach’s.
It’s been over a decade since Ronaldo last played in the Premier League. He did so as a member of Manchester United, where he became a club legend.
Needless to say, Manchester United fans aren’t exactly thrilled by this development:
Ronaldo going to Man City isn’t like Hazard going to Spurs, Lampard going to City, Bale going to Arsenal or Tevez going to City.
It’s like Messi going to Real Madrid or Gerrard coming to Man United. It’s UNTHINKABLE.

Cristiano Ronaldo joining Manchester City has the power to completely alter the balance of power in European soccer.
City are already heavily favored to win the Premier League. But with Ronaldo as their star striker, they might finally be able to get over the hump and win the Champions League.
If there’s one thing Ronaldo knows how to do better than any Man City player, it’s win the UCL. He’s done so five times already.
Is Cristiano Ronaldo destined to return to the Premier League and join Manchester City?
