The United States women’s national team is having a parade for their 2019 Women’s World Cup championship in downtown New York this morning.
The American team, which took down the Netherlands, 2-0, in the final match of the tournament, are being paraded through New York’s “Canyon of Heroes” this morning.
Tens of thousands of people have turned out for the parade, which is ongoing.
A couple of United States women’s national team members started an “equal pay!” chant during the start of the parade.

That was New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo helping start the “equal pay” chant alongside members of the United States women’s national team.
Cuomo recently signed legislation demanding equal pay for male and female national teams.
“Equal pay” chants have started in the crowd, too.
