It's been a revolving door in the sports commentating world. Joe Buck and Troy Aikman left FOX for ESPN. Al Michaels is off to Amazon. Mike Tirico will take his spot for NBC. Could Drew Brees be the next commentator on the move?

According to a report, Brees could be the latest to swap networks. The former NFL quarterback spent the 2021 season working for NBC. He could soon be on his way to FOX.

Brees is reportedly in the mix to replace Aikman as Fox's No. 1 game analyst. Former NFL tight end Greg Olsen is also in the mix for the job.

It's also possible Brees joins Fox's No. 2 commentating team alongside Joe Davis or Adam Amin.

"After just one season at NBC, it is possible Drew Brees could be on the move to Fox Sports, The Post has learned," Andrew Marchand writes, via nypost.com.

Word on the street is Drew Brees much prefers game commentary in the booth compared to analyst work from the studio. That could be a big draw for him to leave NBC for FOX.

It's worth noting NBC has already set its commentating lineup. FOX, meanwhile, is shuffling around trying to cement its No. 1 and 2 commentary teams.

A promotion after one year in sports media sounds like a pretty good route for Brees to take.
