A favorite has emerged to become the sideline reporter for Amazon's Thursday Night Football crew. According to the New York Post, ABC news reporter Kaylee Hartung has emerged as the "leading candidate" for the gig.

Hartung, 36, joined ABC in 2019. Though she is currently a part of the Good Morning America team, she has experience working the sidelines.

During her time with ESPN, Hartung covered the College Football Playoff and College World Series. She also provided coverage on the SEC Network and Longhorn Network.

Hartung has not yet been announced as the sideline reporter for Thursday Night Football, but it sounds like fans want this pairing to happen.

Here are some reactions to the report from the New York Post:

Hartung is expected to continue her work at ABC regardless if she joins Amazon's crew or not.

If Hartung gets the job, she'll join Kirk Herbstreit and Al Michaels to complete Amazon's broadcast team.
