On Friday morning's Get Up, the panel shared a weird story that led to one of the funniest moments in the show's brief history.

Former Ohio State linebacker Bobby Carpenter allegedly used to remove his toenails before the football season. Why? Well, so he didn't lose them during a game after getting stepped on by his teammates or opponents.

It's a diabolical move and one the normal fan wouldn't even think is an option.

After Mike Greenberg mentioned Carpenter's go-to move before the season, Sam Ponder made it clear they shouldn't be talking about toenails and feet while those watching at home are eating their breakfast.

Rex Ryan quipped "well, let's not talk about feet," which caused the whole set to lose their minds - especially Ponder.

Check it out.

If you need some backstory on why this is so funny, here we go.

During his tenure with the New York Jets, several videos emerged of who appeared to be Ryan's wife showing off her feet while the camera-person - believed to be Ryan - talks to her.

When asked about the foot-fetish videos, Ryan steered clear, preferring not to comment on the videos.

Nearly 10 years later, it looks like he has a good sense of humor about the situation.
