Jodi Harrison-Bauer, a 58-year-old mother of two, went to an open casting call to attempt to become a model for Sports Illustrated’s Swimsuit Issue. While she reached the final 60, she was cut this past week when the numbers dwindled down to 16.
The New York Post did a feature on Harrison-Bauer this week. The publication reports that Harrison-Bauer reached the final 60 despite the fact that 5,000 women showed up to the casting call.
She’s the oldest woman to ever make it to the final 60.
Harrison-Bauer apparently owns a gym – named JodiFit. Despite the fact that she wound up getting cut, she does appear to be getting some business out of the whole thing. She has a deal with a meal prep company called Edibolic Kitchen. Here’s more:
The hot mama has also signed a deal with meal prep company Edibolic Kitchen, which later this month will start producing JodiFit prepared meals focused on lean protein, complex carbs and healthy fats. She’s being filmed for German TV and even landed the front page of The Post on July 13, which she learned while walking into the second day of Sports Illustrated auditions in Miami.
Her Instagram following has also increased – at the moment, she has over 76,000 followers.
The big question here is whether Sports Illustrated is making a mistake. Perhaps Harrison-Bauer would open up the publication to a new audience.
SI’s swimsuit issue typically drops about a month before the summer. We’ll see who wound up getting the nod then.
