Ahead of his team's historic Elite Eight tilt with Kansas, Miami head basketball coach Jim Larranaga had an interesting interview moment with CBS host Greg Gumbel.

Larranaga and CBS analyst Charles Barkley were making small talk amid an extensive interview. At one point, Gumbel cut Larranaga off mid-sentence to comply with an impending commercial break.

Gumbel offered to let Larranaga continue talking to Barkley and the crew during the break. But that one moment where he cut the Hurricanes coach off has gone viral over the past few hours.

Fans just can't seem to stop laughing at how annoying Larranaga seemed to be at Gumbel. Others admonished Gumbel for cutting Larranaga off, knowing that the same commercial they'd seen over and over again was coming up:

Jim Larranaga has taken the Miami Hurricanes to the greatest heights in their program's history. He has them in the Elite Eight for the first time ever and has already knocked off a No. 2 seed for the first time.

But tonight's game against Kansas will be the first time Miami has ever done battle with a No. 1 seed. It's totally understandable that Larranaga is in a talkative mood ahead of such an exciting matchup.

We all understand that Greg Gumbel has some media responsibilities with CBS. But maybe he could have made that moment a little less awkward.

What did you think of the exchange between Gumbel and Larranaga?
