In an offseason that's been dominated by Tom Brady rumors, the first domino to fall was actually another famous (former) quarterback: Tony Romo. He signed a massive extension with CBS on Friday night that will reportedly pay him $17 million per year.

Romo has quickly become one of the most popular commentators in sports. Fans love his ability to read the field and predict a play before it even happens. It also helps that listeners can just hear his passion for the game during each broadcast.

A few players were upset that commentators are actually earning more than a large amount of NFL players. Michael Thomas went on Twitter to share his thoughts, saying "That’s why we shouldn’t sign the new CBA agreement, no way the announcer should be making more than 90 percent of the players."

Odell Beckham decided to take the comedic approach to the Tony Romo news. The former first-round pick shared the following message on social media: "I'm done playing football! I just wanna be an announcer now."

This is a pretty funny reaction from Beckham, who's also doing quite well for himself financially. He's making $18 million per season with the Cleveland Browns. In a time where tension continues to grow between NFL owners and the Players Association, it's nice to see Beckham joking around on social media. Beckham is entering an important offseason with the Browns. He'll try to bounce back from a subpar season, where he finished with 74 receptions for 1,035 yards and four touchdowns. [
