A former UCLA Bruins two-sport athlete is featured in this year’s edition of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue.
Ally Courtnall, a former soccer and track athlete for the Bruins, had quite the college career. She helped lead the Bruins to an NCAA title in 2013, being named the Most Outstanding Defensive Player of the tournament.
Now, Courtnall is involved in several different areas, including modeling. She made her debut in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue this year.
“Difficult roads lead to beautiful destinations. I’m so f*cking proud of myself for never giving up. For fighting through every mental battle and not defining myself and basing my worth off of my bad mental health days. Through my struggle I’ve found my strength and I’m making dreams come true,” she wrote on Instagram.
“I’m so grateful to be a part of a community that wants to listen, support, and share our stories. I’m honored to be a part of this EPIC GROUNDBREAKING issue. OPENING EYES. SPEAKING TRUTHS. CHANGING MINDS.”
Courtnall has shared several photos from her shoot on Instagram.
The 2021 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue hit newsstands earlier this year.
