Tiger Woods’ arrest may become more complicated in the days to come.
According to an unredacted police report obtained by the Golf Channel, Tiger Woods told police officers he had taken Xanax during his DUI arrest. Xanax was not one of the drugs Woods would later tell police he had a prescription for.
Woods told officers twice that he had taken the medication, according to the Jupiter Police Department’s report:
I asked Woods if he had taken any medication to which he stated, “Xanax.”
I asked Woods if he had any alcohol to which he stated no, I then asked Woods if he had any illegal drugs to which he stated no, and then I asked Woods if he had taken any medication to which he stated Xanax
Woods was found asleep behind the wheel of his 2015 Mercedes on the side of the road in the early morning hours on May 29. He blew a 0.00 on two breathalyzer tests, but failed multiple field sobriety tests. Woods said in a statement he had an “unexpected reaction to prescribed medications.”
The full toxicology report has yet to be released.
