Boston Celtics All-Star big man Al Horford has reportedly made a decision on his contract option for the NBA's 2019-20 season.

Horford, 33, is reportedly set to hit unrestricted free agency.

ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reports that Horford will not be exercising the option in his contract for the 2019-20 season.

Horford and the Celtics reportedly have mutual interest in working on a new deal when free agency begins next month.

"Boston Celtics center Al Horford will not exercise the $30.1M option on his 2019-20 contract and become an unrestricted free agent, league sources tell ESPN. Horford and the Celtics both have interest in working toward a new deal in July, sources tell ESPN," he reports.

Horford has been with the Celtics since the 2016-17 season and has enjoyed his time in Boston.

The Celtics are a bit of an unknown right now, though, with Kyrie Irving likely departing and Horford's future unclear.

Boston could let Horford walk and create space for a max free agent - D'Angelo Russell, potentially - though it wouldn't be surprising to see the big man re-sign.
