United States soccer star Alex Morgan took to Instagram this morning to post a message before her team's debut in the 2019 World Cup.

Morgan, 29, is set to play in her third World Cup for the United States. She made her debut in 2011, recording a goal and an assist in the final game. Morgan returned in 2015, helping lead the Americans to a World Cup championship over Japan.

This afternoon, Morgan and the U.S. team will take on Thailand in their first game of the group stage.

Morgan is ready.

"A journey within the journey starts today. All the work, the tears, the love, the successes and failures, are for this. I’m ready and it’s thanks to my family, who will be in the stands today and at home watching, beaming with the same pride and excitement I feel," she wrote.

USA and Thailand are set to kick off at 3 p.m. E.T.

The game will be on FOX.
