Alex Morgan and the rest of the United States women’s national team returned to America on Monday night, about a day after they won the 2019 Women’s World Cup, beating the Netherlands, 2-0, in the championship match.
The United States women’s national team got a hero’s welcome back in America – as they deserved – and there will be a parade in their honor in New York City on Wednesday.
Morgan took to Instagram this morning to post some heartfelt photos upon returning home.
“The trophy has touched down in AMERICA!!!” she wrote.
Morgan and Co. will be on a media tour over the next couple of days, so you’ll likely be seeing them on the morning and late-night shows.
The parade in New York will take place in Lower Manhattan and begin at 9:30 a.m. E.T.
Goal.com says it’ll go from “Battery to City Hall Park. It will then end with a ceremony at City Hall at 10:30am, where the USWNT members will be presented with keys to the city by Mayor Bill de Blasio.”
