The MLB trade deadline is fast approaching. Teams in the hunt for a playoff spot are hoping to acquire a piece or two that will put them in the driver's seat.
On Friday night, yet another MLB trade went down. This time between the Milwaukee Brewers and Kansas City Royals.
The Brewers are all-in on a playoff run. Just a few games back of the Chicago Cubs in the NL Central, Milwaukee traded for a two-time All-Star.
Former Kansas City Royal third baseman Mike Moustakas is headed north. Milwaukee acquired Moustakas for prospects Brett Phillips and Jorge Lopez.
It's the second significant trade for the Brewers in the past week after adding reliever Joakim Soria from the Chicago White Sox. The Brewers sent left-hander Kobi Medeiros and right-hander Wilber Perez to the White Sox along with cash considerations.
With the trade deadline just a few days away, there are likely to be several more trades completed before the end of the weekend.
Stay tuned for more.
