Ben Affleck did the sports media rounds this week to promote his upcoming high school basketball movie, The Way Back.
The die-hard sports fan was naturally asked a lot about the New England Patriots during his media tour. Affleck, a Boston native, is friends with soon-to-be free agent quarterback Tom Brady. Does Affleck know where Brady is going?
It turns out that he doesn’t. Affleck revealed that he and Matt Damon texted Brady about his upcoming decision. All they got back from Brady was a “shrug” emoji.
Affleck has still made his prediction for Brady’s decision, though. The actor revealed his prediction on TNT’s Inside The NBA.
“I’m going to say yes, I’m going to say yes,” Affleck said when asked if Brady will be on the Patriots in 2020. “I think the biggest issue, frankly, is Belichick, and that’s what people don’t talk about. What is Belichick’s agenda? What is he looking for?”

That’s a fair prediction from Affleck. Brady returning to New England remains the most-likely scenario in the minds of many.
Those are also some fair questions about Bill Belichick. Does the Patriots’ head coach really want 42-year-old Tom Brady back under center?
We’ll find out soon. NFL free agency begins on March 18.
