Ben Roethlisberger and Antonio Brown had some pretty great years together in Pittsburgh, though the relationship between the star quarterback and star wide receiver appears to have gone downhill fast in recent months.
Brown recently trashed his former quarterback, telling him to “shut up already,” adding that they were “never friends.”
Now, Brown is playing for an AFC rival in the New England Patriots, though he won’t be suiting up until Week 2 after his release from Oakland.
Roethlisberger was asked about Brown’s decision to sign with New England following the Steelers’ 33-3 loss to the Patriots on Sunday night.
“Whatever,” he said.
Ben Roethlisberger, your reaction to Antonio Brown joining the Patriots?

It’s unfortunate that Brown wasn’t allowed to suit up tonight, because that really would’ve added to the drama. And the game was lacking in competitiveness so it could’ve used some shenanigans.
Perhaps Pittsburgh will meet New England in the playoffs, though. That would really be fun.
