Considering that Bill Simmons used to work for ESPN, it’s no surprise that the latest stunt that his former employer pulled hasn’t gone over well. Luckily for both parties, his constructive criticism on Twitter is usually in a joking spirit.
Simmons interviewed NBA commissioner last Friday, as the two of them were on video talking about various subjects. Instead of showing the full frame on ESPN’s Get Up!, the company cropped out the charismatic analyst.
The newest version of the video just looks off, and it’s not exactly fair to Simmons. Regardless of the rift between the two sides, it’s hard to imagine that there wasn’t another solution.
Well, Simmons quickly went on Twitter to poke fun at the situation from Wednesday.
“Incredible CGI efforts by “Get Up” to cut me out of last Friday’s Adam Silver interview. They should have just replaced me with a hologram of Rachel Nichols,” Simmons tweeted.

There were many accounts that went on social media to call ESPN petty for this act. However, Simmons did take the high road by not lashing out on the company.
For future reference, it might be best to avoid cropping out videos that form an awkward image.
