The free-agent market is adding a veteran slot receiver. The Buffalo Bills are moving on from Cole Beasley.

The Bills announced on Thursday morning that they've released veteran wide receiver Cole Beasley. He's the newest free agent in the NFL.

Beasley was a fan favorite in Buffalo and highly productive in the AFC East team's offense. Bills fans are going to miss him.

"Thank you Cole for amazing hard play every time you took the field," a fan tweeted.

"Might be the biggest piece in the development of Josh Allen. All around great Bill," one fan wrote.

"Unable to find a suitable trade partner, the #Bills announce the release of veteran SLOT WR Cole Beasley Beasley came to BUF as a FA in 2019 and totaled over 250 REC* for 2700 YDS* & 11 TD (includes playoffs*) while earning 2nd Team ALL-PRO honors in 2020," another fan commented.

"The #Bills will save approximately $6 million in cap space with this move. #BillsMafia," At The Sticks tweeted.

"Beas has left the building. Good luck to this man wherever he lands," a fan said.

"Grateful for everything he did for Josh and bringing the offense to the level it is now. He's still got a little gas in the tank but it's the right time to move on," Buffalo Bills Reddit tweeted.

Cole Beasley won't be a free agent for very long. He should be picked up in a hurry.
